UNITED NATIONS BROADCAST REPORT

As of 6:13 AM April 16th 19XX, it has been discovered our moon is no more. Some unknown entity has replaced it. By slamming into the Earth, it generates rocks and rubble that it uses to grow. The United Nations has determined it a threat and will use weaponized force to defeat it. But one thing remains unclear; is it trying to destroy the Earth, or does it have something else more sinister in store?

CONTROLS

A / Left key = Move Left

D / Right Key = Move right

Space/ Down Key = Slam into Earth

HOW HEALTH WORKS

In order to grow, you need to pick up debris, the number of debris you need to get gets higher for each growth. The debris ALSO act as a shield, so if you get hit, the debris go first. If you are out of debris (because they got blasted or you just grew) you only have 1 hp!

Great art design first and foremost. The game was enjoyable but I did experience some stutters and ended up crashing eventually.

I completely expected the debris to give more than one extra hit per debris collected.

Fun game, though.

this game is a masterclass in how to not design a game. every part of the game is perfectly engineered to frustrate the player, from the slow and limited control to the ridicilous amount of rng and unforgiving gamedesign, every death feels like a new flavor of middlefinger to the face. trying to get past the tentacle phase is clinically classified as self harm, never before in my life have i felt the urge to scoop out my forehead with a fork. this game is what darksouls wouldve been like if miyazaki was abonded at birth, abused by his fosterparents, beaten up by his classmates, betrayed by his friends, fucked over by his colleagues,  cheated on by his wife and then again abandoned by his children.

the game also has nice artdesign

Well, Lunacy! 1300!

Very awesome atmosphere!

Love the concept and especially the atmosphere. For my taste, "Spiral" phase needs more luck that skill because the body is too large. That one should be more resistant for a single hit.

Noted! We'll make sure to keep that in mind for our next patch based on all the feedback we;ve gotten!! We want to make this game something that makes players feel like they are a cosmic horror destroying earth.

Surprise hit game that needs attention. My only complaint is that the visual noise can become overbearing once you reach the giant tentacle phase.  Said noise makes it tough to tell projectiles from yourself and everything else apart leading to unexpected deaths.

We'll take that into account during the next patch update! We did originally want more going on but I can totally understand your point!! thank you so much for playing and for your feedback <3

it gets stuck after 3rd slam, is it not usable on mac browser

(+1)

We unfortunately didn’t have a Mac to test the game on. Though it works in browser, the windows version is recommended. I’ll be sure to let the team know and we’ll see what changes we can make as soon as GMTK ends, but for now I’d suggest a different browser. Thank you for letting us know!

I love the eerie atmosphere, I feel like an ancient eldritch god on a rampage! The music is great, and I really enjoyed that bit of storytelling at the start of the game. Congrats!

Thank you so much!! Everyone did their best to amp it up for this jam!
